Swine Flu

I'm honestly confused. Yes Swine flu is a new sickness that is traveling quickly worldwide but I feel its effects have been no more harmful than the normal flu. Think about it. The flu can be transmitted between humans and causes a horrible week of cold like symptoms that are magnified. Some people die from the flu, many are hospitalized but flu season ends and no one is quarantined. Although Mexico is experiencing deaths, the US has to date only had the loss of one person due to swine flu (a 4 year old in Texas). The normal flu causes deaths in the young and old and sometimes those in between. Mexico does not have adequate sanitation or healthcare to handle a sort of outbreak but I do believe that although this virus may be globally transmitted, it will not be the end of the world as we know it-or at least I hope so.
