"You just don't understand, do you? I was talking about what business should do, not what we actually do . My job is to inspire. But we have a bloody business to run."
-Anita Roddick’s response when asked how she can source products from China, when she bashes China for its human rights record
Only 1% PURE products! Scents like pineapple and other fruits that are included in the products would rot if it wasn’t treated with chemicals.
Finally Anita Roddick sold The Body Shop to L'Oréal for millions of dollars. At the time L'Oréal held the lowest possible rating by Ethical Consumer magazine because of animal testing and harsh chemical use.
L'Oréal would definitely not make it on the Preferred Companies List!
Is that how you reward companies for doing the right thing? Sell them a successful company.

are ethical companies impossible?
I don’t think companies can be completely ethical. Even Anita’s Body Shop came under criticisms. I was curious to see if Anita practiced what she preached so I did some research on Anita Roddick and the Body Shop. I found some interesting information.
